About Our April Musicians:

Our April musicians are the Everett Chamber Ensemble.

The Everett Chamber Ensemble will present "A Springtime Celebration” on Sunday,April 27, at 3:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 215 Mukilteo Boulevard, Everett as the final concert of the Port Gardner Bay Music Society’s 2024/2025 Season.

The Everett Chamber Ensemble was formed in 2023, but its players have been making music together much longer than that. The Ensemble includes members of Quartette Con Brio and the Puget Sound Chamber Trio, and all perform with the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra.  They are also active as teachers, church musicians, and free-lance performers in Snohomish, King, Island, Skagit, Yakima and Maui counties.  Performing on this concert: Patrice Weed Shearer, Katrina Cordi, Richard Vitzhum, Briana Lamb, Darth Nielsen, Barbara Oakley and Elaine Yale Weltz.

“A Springtime Celebration” includes a varied program that will invite attendees to listen with their ears and their imaginations as composers and performers paint scenes both familiar and exotic. Alexander Borodin’s String Quartet No. 2 is a love letter to his wife that reflects on their happy times together. Cesar Cui’s 5 Miniatures for Flute, Violin and Piano show the lighter, charming side of a composer who was also an army general. Completing the program is Franz Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet, so named for the song that forms the basis of its 4th movement.

Port Gardner Bay Music Society’s mission is to present local artists in concert for the enjoyment and enrichment of local audiences. We hope you will join us for an afternoon excursion – through music and the imagination.
